NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Aegis Sciences Corp., a forensic chemical and drug-testing laboratory, elected Martin Brown, James Jones and Margaret Morford to its board of directors. They will join Dr. Bill Frist, who was previously announced as a new board member and health care advisor.

Currently retired, Brown spent 10 years as chairman and CEO of Therapeutic Antibodies, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company listed on the London Stock Exchange. Prior to that position, he served as vice chairman of the Brown-Forman Corporation and as CEO at Jack Daniel Distillery. Brown currently sits on the board of directors for the Southern Environmental Law Center and The Land Trust for Tennessee. He also serves on the National Council of the National Parks Conservation Association.
Jones currently provides private client services and is a consultant for the long-term care industry. He retired from KPMG LLP in May 2006 as managing partner of the Nashville office, where he served 30 years as a tax service partner and client service partner for corporations in the health care and industrial industry. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Nashville Rotary Club and Deacon Woodmont Baptist Church. He serves on The Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville Zoo’s board of directors.
Morford is founder and president of The HR Edge, Inc., an international management consulting and training company with clients including Chevron, Time Warner, Sara Lee Foods, Home and Garden Television and Verizon. Prior to The HR Edge, Morford served as Senior Vice President of human resources consulting for a national consulting firm.
